Jackie, Manager of the JCCTP

Meet the Team

Jackie Foster, Anna DeSalvo and Brenna O'Brien are a mighty team of three, helping patients through their clinical trials journeys. 

Jackie Foster, MPH, RN, OCN is the Manager of the Jason Carter Clinical Trials Program (JCCTP). Jackie manages the day-to-day operations of the program, plans and develops clinical trial patient education resources, and builds relationships with partner organizations. Jackie has been a BMT and oncology nurse since 2005. Her expertise is in patient education and program development.  

She received a B.A. in nursing and Hispanic studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and completed the Master of Public Health program focused on community health education at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. 

The Jason Carter Clinical Trials Program (JCCTP) has 2 Clinical Trial Navigators. In addition to keeping the JCCTP clinical trial search tool up-to-date and creating educational content, they regularly assist patients in any part of the clinical trial search process. 
Anna

Anna, Clinical Trials Navigator

Anna DeSalvo, MS, LCGC
 Before joining the JCCTP, Anna worked in multiple different clinical settings as a certified genetic counselor. During her most recent clinical position, she was part of the oncology care team ordering and interpreting genetic test results in order to choose the most effective treatment options or to prevent cancer from occurring. She also has experience with many different rare genetic conditions, including hemoglobinopathies and inborn errors of metabolism, among others. 

Anna received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY and is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor. 
Brenna

Brenna, Clinical Trials Navigator

Brenna O'Brien, MPH, RN, ONN-CG
Before joining the JCCTP, Brenna was a BMT Patient Navigator in the Be The Match Patient Support Center. She also worked as an inpatient RN on the adult Blood and Marrow Transplant unit at the University of Minnesota. 

She has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is also certified as an oncology nurse navigator.
